dudley in a sitcom: one uneventful saturday

February 20, 2010 is but an ordinary combination of letters and numbers. well, that was what i thought it was.

5:15 a.m. - mom shook me up (innards and all) saying we had to prepare for tagaytay.

-uhm, no, i’m not going to tagaytay today, i’ve a seminar to attend to in the afternoon.

this morning on the bus on my way to work at around 9a.m.

some evangelist roused the demons i tucked under my ears.
evangelist: good morning brothers and sisters.
me: bah! (sticks earphones and chooses loudest song in the ipod) (opens book)
evangelist: it's the end of the world as we know it.
(naah... she didnt say this, but she might as well have)
blah blah hum hum hum...
me: ho hum...
evangelist: (started handing out envelopes for donations)
me: (takes off earphones and shoves the envelope to the evangelist)
you demon! how dare you insult us by assuming we'd like to listen to all the rubbish
you've spewed. there are other religions here. show some repect, you extortionist.
[demonyo ka! ang kapal mo naman. iniinsulto mo ba kami at sa palagay mo gusto namin pakinggan yang mga pinagsasabi mo? may ibang mga relihiyon dito. matuto kang gumalang ng ibang relihiyon. matuto kang gumalang, punyetang extortionist ka.
(sticks earphones back to ears)
evangelist: ok, ma'am. (ok po, ma'am.)
